Spring Break!

We are asking parents to verify/update their student information through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.  Please complete the Returning Student Annual Update forms no later than September 15,2025. These forms are located in the Parent Portal under Forms in the left navigation window, and then under the General Forms tab.  The forms included in the update are:

• Health Information
• Student Address
• Student Contacts & Custody
• Permissions/Agreements
• Transportation Request Form
• Tribal Affiliation Data Collection - *NEW

ADDRESS CHANGES WITHIN DISTRICT

If your address has changed within Anchor Bay School District, please be sure to update the Student Address form and provide us with two (2) proofs of residency and your photo I.D. for the new address.  Proofs of Residency can be uploaded through the form or they can be turned into your student’s school on or after August 13^th.

MOVED OUT OF THE DISTRICT

If you have moved out of the Anchor Bay School District and want your student to continue enrollment through Anchor Bay Schools, please update the Student Address form and provide us with two (2) proofs of residency and your photo I.D. for the new address.   Proofs of Residency can be uploaded through the form or they can be turned into your student’s school on or after August 13th.  You will also need to complete the 2025-2026 Out of District Schools of Choice Application which is located under Forms in the left navigation window and then under the Enrollment tab in the Parent Portal.   The Schools of Choice application window ends on August 15, 2025 at 3:30 p.m.  

NOTE:  If you have completed the Schools of Choice Application and been approved in a previous year, you do not need to complete the form again unless your student has left the district and now wants to return.

The Administration Center will be closed on July 3rd and 4th in observance of the holiday.

• Anchor Bay School District will begin the 2025-2026 school year before Labor Day, with the first day of school on August 27, 2025. Beginning the 2025-26 school year, Middle School North will start at 8:00 AM and Middle School South will start at 8:20 AM. These slight adjustments — just 4 minutes earlier for MSN and 16 minutes later for MSS — were designed to better support families who may have to drop off at both schools while keeping close to the current time schedule. We appreciate your flexibility as we make thoughtful changes to help everyone’s daily schedule run a little smoother as we transition to this new grade level configuration! Bus time notifications will be sent out in Mid-August to allow for enrollment changes. Parents can request transportation after August 1st when filling out the Annual Forms. 

Kindergarten Bus Safety Day is as follows:

• Tuesday 8/12: Lottie 9am, Naldrett 10:30am, Maconce 12:30pm
• Wednesday 8/13: Great Oaks 9am, Lighthouse 10:30am, Ashley 12:30pm

All kindergarten students are invited even if they are not scheduled to ride a bus to/from school. This event is designed to have kindergarten students experience the bus and understand bus rules and expectations for going to school and on field trips. Each student will receive a free snack and get a chance to eat in the cafeteria to get familiar with the space. A parent or guardian must be present with the student. This event is for the kindergarten student and parent only.
