Life’s passion kindly shared
Love was created,
Yet still compared.
Every turn of the chisel,
His soul expressed
Without her youth’s dismissal.
But of all the marble had reflected,
Never once,
Was the rose selected

French Club Reports
November 7, 2006 we had a great meal at the Fondue Room in Mt. Clemens to begin a new year of the French Club and congratulate our officers. Prizes were won by Travis Boughton ('06 grad) and Chrissy Whitmer- $20 gift certificates thanks to Joann, owner of the Fondue Room. Many exchange students attended- not just those from Anchor Bay - Diana Giulioni (Italy), Gaia Marana (Italy), Leo Tand (Equador), Sukanya Mahendran (Germany), and Christina Hudaya (Indonesia).
December 19, 2006 The French Club Christmas party took place at Premier Lanes. Ms. Benedic received her historical high with a turkey in the first three frames, following with all spares until the 8th frame! She also bowled a spare in the tenth frame, receiving a final score of 170, beating everyone!
The French Club would like to wish everyone a Joyeux Noël and Bonne Année!

2005 French Club DIA Trip
French I Reporter, Chelsea Gouin
To continue their journey, Ms. Benedic’s French classes moved to the Detroit Institute of Art, the DIA. The current exhibit was Rodin and Claudel: Fateful Encounters. As the class traveled through the exhibit, they heard the audio story behind the art. While observing the art, they were also educated in the tragic love story between Claudel and Rodin. The vast museum held different forms of art to be admired, such as Diego Rivera’s Mural about the car industry in Detroit and Pointillism by Georges Seurat.
