2006 Teddy Bear Drive

Alternative and Adult Education students and staff from Anchor Bay's Compass Pointe Learning Center presented Juvenile Detective/ School Resource Officer Timothy Wiley of the New Baltimore Police and Officer Chris Swanson with Bullseye of the Chesterfield Police with teddy bears. The bears will be carried in each department's patrol cars to give to children experiencing violent or disastrous situations. The students and staff were challenged by the program's coordinator Robert Tidd to collect teddy bears between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays for this worthy cause. At the drives completion, the Compass Pointe students and staff collected over 100 teddy bears.
